I’m a 30-something straight guy living in the San Francisco Bay Area in the beautiful state of California (state gem: Benitoite). I was born and raised in the American Midwest. I’ve traveled a half dozen countries, all 50 states, lived in 5 of the states, and along the way, earned a B.A. In Philosophy and a doctorate (professional) degree.
I’m a vegetarian, friend to animals, a student of the world, and an open minded being. I’m introspective, generally positive, and I believe firmly that love and intimacy are central to long term human happiness. I believe in nonviolence though a portion of my past didn’t conform to this principle.
I started writing to help change the conversation by telling my experiences and thoughts as an Asian American man in America. Also, I love hearing robot voices in music and eating cookies.
I admit, whenever I read blogs like this, I want to know what the dating history of the author is. It’s roughly 1/3 Asian women, 1/3 Euro / white women, and 1/3 mixed race women (various). I don’t have any kind of racial, ethnic, or religious category define a potential partner. There are attractive women in every group and category you can come up with. Attraction only starts from the outside, and ideally it includes everything about a person over time.
I am a sex and kink positive person. Sex is therapeutic, fun and best when there is good communication, so really the sexiest kind of woman is the kind who tells me exactly what she wants. It’s always hot, and I always know how to give it to her.
I believe in developing oneself, cultivating positive values and habits. I’m not always successful, but one of my projects in recent years has been to discard notions of propriety which are dependent primarily on culture. I try to look at things in a new way again, a phenomenological way where there are fewer boundaries.
These are some posts I’ve done on personal explorations unrelated to this blog’s sexual-political discussion. Thanks for visiting. I hope you’ll take a look around and let me know what you think. I like getting feedback, and I answer every email I receive.
Cheers, BAP Blogger.
