A few years back, I got into a heated bar debate over, initially, whether extra-terrestrial aliens existed and then over whether contact with humans was likely or whether it had already occurred. My opponent was ST, a good friend and spirited free diver who is a professor now at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln).
We eventually limited the scope of our debate to whether contact had occurred. I argued that contact, including just contact with aircraft / spacecraft, had already probably occurred.
It went on for hours, past the point of hilarious spectacle for our friends at the table as other patrons looked on, and well into the region of public embarassment. Beer was drunk, voices were raised… we were drunk. It ended in a stalemate; the bar had to close.
Boy, I wish I knew then what I discovered perusing the NSA’s declassified UFO files! (Link goes to – https://www.nsa.gov/public_info/declass/ufo/index.shtml).
The documents of the Communications Intelligence identify scores of UFO in our atmosphere, flying all over this and probably every other country. Don’t just believe me, go check out the government’s declassified documents for yourself made available on the NSA site.
While they are heavily redacted, enough is left for the reader to unambiguously make the conclusion had we have had UFO contact for decades. The NSA’s intro blurb is pasted below. I have the highlights of some of them below as well.
Keep in mind as you read them:
Virtually every mention of UFO was followed by the words “probably balloons,” just know that the upper bound of a helium balloon before bursting is (generously estimated) at 10,000 m. (that’s about 32,808 feet). That’s the calculation of an MIT physics graduate student, Hongwan Liu (scroll down to the second answer, the first deals with different balloons) endorsed by physics faulty.
Poor hand redactions show these are UMBRA-coded documents. Do you really think information about balloons on a radar would be classified at the highest level of compartmentalized top secret information?
What’s UMBRA? …
The NSA needs to spend a little of that absurdly large budget on a spell checker. Here’s the NSA blurb:
UFO Documents Index
The documents listed on ths page were located in response to the numerous requests received by NSA on the subject of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO). In 1980, NSA was involved in Civil Action No. 80-1562, “Citizens Against Unidentified Flying Objects Secrecy v. National Security Agency”. Documents related to that ligitation [sic] are marked with “*”. “XXXXX” has been inserted in a title if a portion of the title has been deleted prior to release. To select a document click on the document title, and wait for the PDF version to be downloaded to your local viewer. Approximate file sizes are given after each selection for user convenience.
