Some time ago, an illustrator friend of mine DMK and I collaborated on a series based on reality and manipulated reality. We had just watched Waking Life (Richard Linklater, Director) and lost a few hours in discussion over – what life would be like if the world had a dream nature of reality like you were in a lucid dream? What if our daytime was a more our dream and our nighttime brain was “more real?” Where does the knowledge come from when we learn something in a dream
He drew and I wrote, and at night we would do these dream meditations first. When we finished the drawing or writing, we swapped, contemplated the original, and did a companion piece. We had five dreams each, and made a total of 10 pieces altogether. I’m sharing them because they seem to fit the times. These first few are close ups of the fourth photo below.
