I dabble in the arts, trying too many things to be really good in any one. Every now and then though, I’ll get inspired and do something that looks good. I’m sharing this one here instead of on my other secret blog today.
I don’t know how many hours it took, but I worked on it for about two weeks during all my free time. I stayed up a few work nights too. I had a lot going on in my life, at the time, broken heart and all. There’s a poem that runs from the top to the bottom. The poems inside each cell are independent but also link with certain neighbors to produce longer pieces or vignettes. I’m glad I got it out of my system. I don’t blame either of us for the disintegration anymore. It doesn’t matter anyway. I hope she’s happy right now.
It’s 6 ft. by 2 ft., done in acrylic paint, ink, and epoxy. The first two photos are the top and bottom. There are several close ups too.
